I know I'm like alot of you here that look forward to reading the posts that are put up here everyday. I enjoy almost all of the topics, whether they are related to a Dead show or not. They all seem to branch out from the GD in some form.
But, I wonder if anyone else reads these posts and has started to put voices to them when they are being read.
Example: whenever I read a post from Direwolf I hear Phil Hartman's voice in my head. Does anyone else do this? I'm just curious.
Hang loose.

Arbuthnot sounds like Rumsfeld to me

McGLone like Martin Short

Purple Gel like matthew broderick- nice guy, intelligent, witty, down to earth

Direwolf like Homer Simpson (just kidding)

The woman who comes here from the other forum (Dances with wolves or something like that?) sounds like Betty Ruble on the flintstones

LehighVet like the guy you knew from high school who had the kind bud and now still has that hipness and hippie voice today

Earl B Powell- cant help but here him sound like Colin Powell- just me

Ashes Rising like a young Billy Graham (the preacher not the promoter)- again, I do not know why- but you asked the question

more later

Oh oh, Hey Wolf I hope the characters aren't waht got you riled up, I'm thinkin that was in responce to my idea of a "Forum" comic strip... Doesn't sound like it was...

i wasn't riled up over that at all - oops - there was supposed to be a "lol" after that - i think i was paying too much attention to the USC - BC game when responding :(

I didn't think Liam was being snide or anything like that at all with that - thought it was funny and he was joking around. my fault for omitting the final three letters of my post.

I really have no idea, I think it's like when you're watching a movie and if anyone reads a letter, it's always read by the voice of the person who wrote it.
I think your posts usually have a dry, sarcasm to them that is both hilarious and honest, kind of like, (in your best Hartman voice) "You're not getting it man, but I'm telling you anyway."

This was in no way meant to be offensive, I guess just giving voices to the posts that I enjoy reading makes it more personable for me. Peace and hang loose.

Colin Powell? Not bad. Critical thinker. Now if I could make the jack he makes. (Yet, somehow, I have trouble envisioning Colin and Conde sitting around the kitchen table with a phatty talking about the annotated lyrics of Scarlet Begonias.)

No voices in my head for me (other than the ones that live there), However I have imagined some of these threads in comic strip form. Or maybe as manga, picture Wolf with big, sad, sappy eyes... no, better not. It hurts too much!
